Would this be punishment enough?

If the boy is paralyzed from the neck down due to the accident I'm quite certain he will not be placed in a prison environment. There are no facilities for such a person in a normal state or federal prison. It's possible he could placed in a state hospital that is "prison-like" usually reserved for those with mental problems who are also criminals. In my opinion, to save the taxpayers from supporting the boy, I would allow him to return to his family on lifetime probation on his own recognizance but unable to travel or move without the approval of the court. If the boy is 15 he has along time to think of the stupid act that led to the death of another human being and his own tragedy. It is truly one of the saddest stories I have ever heard.
