I am a horrible runner. I am about 5'9 169 pounds and I can do 5-7 pull ups, 50 crunches, 50 push ups, and a mile in 10 minutes. If I join the Air Force will I lose weight and gain muscle during basic training? I want to do Security Forces because I want to be a police officer when I get out. Will the Air Force toughen me up? I heard they have made their basic training a hell of alot harder than it used to be.
