I might want to become a police officer, but I'm not sure?

I'm only 14, so I still have a lot of time to decide, but I am thinking about becoming a police officer when I can. What is the average day of a police officer? What are the requirements, and what do I need to know? Also, I'm sorry if I sound ignorant, I've thought about this for a while, but have yet to research it.
