How does the officer rank scale work in the USAF?

I know the order of 2nd Lt., 1st lt. and so on.... I was just wondering things like who is the 2nd Lt. ,and lets say he is a pilot,in charge of of and so on.....I know in the Army the Lt. is in charge of a platoon of men and has a 1st Srgt. right below him, and has a captain above him who is in charge of the company of 5 platoons.....But my question is how does this work in the Air Force
